What are the real results of the LEO’s Trading Online Voucher Scheme?

A recent report carried out by the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources found that small Irish businesses that invest in trading online can expect to see positive returns. The research was conducted with over 800 companies that participated in the Government’s Trading Online Voucher Scheme and looks to measure the impacts trading online can have on SMEs. The research found, perhaps unsurprisingly, that SMEs that have an online strategy, seek expert help and invest time into online customer engagement can expect to see sales growth and increase their export potential. Ecommerce Trustmark now available to Irish Retailers

We were very happy to see that Ireland has now been added to the list of European countries that use the eCommerce Trustmark. The announcement was made last week at the Retail Excellence Ireland (REI) Retreat in Mount Wolseley. So what is a Trustmark? The eCommerce Trustmark is a non-profit trustmark based upon a common set of criteria which comply with the required levels of European law.  The Trustmark operates on a self-regulated basis and is widely available to companies that are involved in online and cross-border selling of products and services. We’ve added some new accredited .ie Registrars

Here at the IEDR we try not to rest on our laurels. We had an exceptionally busy year here in 2015 registering over 35,000 new .ie domain names. That’s a lot of domains and while we pretty much had predicted that growth we also recognised the pressure that it could put on our existing accredited registrars. To meet this anticipated increase in demand we carefully researched, evaluated and accredited an additional 10 new Registrar companies throughout 2015. We’re really proud of our new partners.
